Security Standards

All security door sets in the portfolio have been tested and accredited to meet demanding security standards, primarily to BS EN 1627 RC3 and RC4. This standard is recognised throughout Europe as a testing for a range of security equipment.

In addition, an increasing number of products have achieved to LPS 1175, an onerous British standard that is recognised by the LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board).

Class 4 Doors

All variants of the Gold Plus series of class 4 security door sets meet BS EN 1627 RC4; this series includes door sets with mechanical locks as well as variants with an increasing range of electronic locking options.

Class 3 Doors

Products in this range – the Gold Series – have obtained BS EN 1627 RC3 and in some cases LPS 1175 SR2. LPS 1175 SR2 is the security classification that is recognised by the LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board), a leading international Certification Body in the fields of security and fire protection. In situations in which the higher level of security (Gold Plus series RC4) may not be needed, the Gold Series still provides a variety of high quality security solutions

Activa (Incorporating Emergency Egress)

The Activa is the security door set of choice for situations in which an emergency escape (panic bar) is required. A key feature is that the push bar can throw the entire multi-point lock.

Fire Rated Security Door Sets

Increasingly, fire rated security door sets are required and the basis for these are the Protection 30 and Protection 60.

Fire Ratings

Protection series products have either 30 or 60-minute fire ratings; in addition to the BS EN 1627 RC3 and LPS 1175 SR2 security certification, these products are also certified to UNI EN 1634 – 1 for fire performance. These doors, which can be styled with a wide range of panels, are ideal as apartment doors where a fire rating is required by building regulations.

In addition, and if required, fire rated doors with a 30-minute fire rating with European certification to 1627 RC4 are available with both single and two-cylinder options to control the lock.
