Fire Shutters and Curtains

Fire Containment
Fire shutters can help keep people, buildings and other belongings safer in the case of an emergency by compartmentalising the fire and slowing its progression.

They should be a key part of your overall fire strategy for your building and will work seamlessly with other elements, such as smoke alarms or sprinklers.

We offer a range of fire shutters which can prevent the spread of a fire by up to 4 hours when compared to your typical shutter. This time frame is significant in helping to ensure people get out of the building safely and reducing the damage that fire can cause.

We offer a range of fire shutters which can prevent the spread of a fire by up to 4 hours when compared to your typical shutter. This time frame is significant in helping to ensure people get out of the building safely and reducing the damage that fire can cause.

Our Fire Shutters are electrically operated, consisting of a steel slatted curtain and galvanised steel box assembly and guide rails. These are designed to be a security barrier during normal use and to be closed automatically during a test or an emergency situation. In the event of receiving a fire alarm signal the barrier will perform a powered descent to create a fire-resistant barrier. In the event of power failure, the Fire shutter will still close due to the battery back-up feature.

Fire Curtain

Invisible when not in use, our Fire Flame Curtains are automatically activated in the event of a fire alarm or power failure. This ensures safety where it is needed without having to compromise on the aesthetics or design of a building.

The Fire Curtain, when lowered or deployed divides up large open spaces to slow down the spread of fire, allowing a safe exit. The Flame Curtain is strong enough to contain a fire for up to 2 hours whilst still allowing a route of escape should this be required. This is achieved by simply lifting the bottom rail to create a gap large enough to go under.
